Drašnice is a small coastal village with only a few hundred inhabitants often referred to as ‘small local Pompeii’. In Drašnice one can find perfectly preserved stone houses from the area at the foot of Biokovo and old houses with wooden tools for olive processing. Tourists can visit the cave Medvedina which is known as the last residence of the Mediterranean Monk Seal (Monachus monachus), an endangered species that unfortunately doesn't exist anymore in these waters of the Adriatic.
